Quinoa Breakfast

Great breakfast and fine start to the day
Fairly sweet as the raisins release their sweetness in the cooking
Half of your daily fibre in there
Leave out the yogurt if you are Vegan 
Or replace it with something else
(Made and tested 23 times)
1 Serving


  • Quinoa (3/4 cup)
  • Plant milk or Cows (1 cup)
  • Cinnamon (1 tsp)
  • Raisins (1/4 cup)
  • Apple (1 med)
  • Walnuts (1/4 cup)
  • Frozen Blueberries (1/2 cup)
  • Sunflower seeds (1 Tbsp)
  • Greek Yogurt (opt)


Add 3/4 cup of quinoa to the saucepan
Add 1 cup of plant or cows milk
Add 1 tsp of cinnamon
Add 1/4 cup of raisins
Turn up the heat and get it bubbling
Lower and simmer for 5 minutes
Chop up 1 med apple and add to the pan after 5 minutes
Continue to simmer for 5 minutes, adding a bit of extra milk if needed
Add 1/4 cup of walnuts
Add 1 Tbsp of sunflower seeds
Add 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
Serve with or without some greek yogurt or the like
